We represent a cooperative society of farmers from Himachal Pradesh called Himalayan Hemp Organisation who are working collectively with the state government and farmers for developing the hemp sanitary pads. Apart from creating a menstrual boon for the women, it is a source of income for the local women farmers.

Our project has been selected for the prestigious residency programme at Chaudhary Charan Singh National Institute of Agricultural Marketing where we shall be developing it further. Our team had to search far and wide to select the right tailor who can create the perfect sample product suited to our needs and specifications. This proved to be harder than we imagined- most people were hesitant to work on creating a menstrual hygiene product.

At Himalayan Hemp we are aiming to fight this stigma and create environment friendly menstrual hygiene products- all using the revolutionary power of hemp.
